Oldest Man In The United States Dies At 112
In the case of history being
made, the oldest man in the United States has finally decided to leave the
world.
The man, Richard Overton,
died on Thursday, December 27th at the age of 112. Overton was also America's
oldest World War II veteran.
Overton volunteered for the
Army starting in 1942 and served with the 188th Aviation Engineer Battalion, an
all-black unit that served on various islands in the Pacific.
Overton would have been 113
on May 11, 2019 but the veteran came down with pneumonia and it was the reason
for his demise.
