Mum Wraps Up A Potato As Christmas Present For Her Son

When kids come up with their shenanigans, mums always have a way of bringing them back in line. A certain mum has fashioned out a quite unusual way of taming her son who has refused to take any corrections.


This mum of a three-year-old boy come online to ask if what she was about to do was extreme. She first of all reported that her son was a biter. She said she has done everything she could think of to get him to kick the habit but nothing seems to be working out
When the lad almost bit his three-month-old sister, the worried mum had to come up with a solution, and fast. She told her son that Father Christmas sees everything, and he would get a potato present if he bites someone again.
The woman, upon having second thoughts, decided to share her idea with Mumsnet to see what fellow mums would say about it.

She wrote: "DS [darling son] 3 is a biter. We have tried EVERYTHING to get him to stop.
"Final straw was the other day when he tried to bite his 3-month-old sister (he didn't manage to as I grabbed him). I had warned him last time he bit me that Santa would see and for every time he bit anybody from now on Santa would replace a present with a potato.
He didn't listen, and tried to bite DD. I've told him that Santa has seen and one of his presents is now a potato.
I HATE not following through on punishments. I'm inclined just to wrap up a potato and chuck it in his stocking and then when he opens it on Christmas Day remind him that he was warned.
"I'm not going to throw away any of his presents, so he's not actually going to miss out he will just think he has.
"DM [darling mother] and a few friends think I'm horrible. DH, DF and a few other friends think it's a great idea.
"WIBU [would it be unreasonable] to do this? I'm running out of ideas to get him to stop and I really am losing the will to live over it. Please feel free to also offer tips on how you stopped your child biting..."

One man who is in earnest desire to see a change come to the poor people of Tunisia, has taken a strange step to set the ball in motion. The man called Abdel Razaq Zorgi set himself ablaze to protest the harsh living conditions of the Tunisian populace. Before his death, the 32-year-old journalist had released a video the night before where he disclosed his intentions. He said, “For the sons of Kasserine who have no means of subsistence, today I start a revolution. I am going to set myself on fire.” The gruesome death of the journalist sparked protests in the city after dark and clashes overnight with police who fired tear gas at dozens of people who had set tyres ablaze and blocked the main street. So, the case of minors being abused in foster homes is unacceptable talk more of by their adopted families. For abusing her adoptive son sexually, and on several occasions, a woman from Florida will be spending years in jail. The woman named Lauren Myres, a 26-year-old was sentenced jail on a one-count charge of sexual abuse on a minor. To complete her person term, she will have to undergo sex offender counseling, and she will be put on sex offender probation for four years. Myres will also have to register as a sex offender for the rest of her life.
