Car Thief Locks Himself Inside Vehicle And Calls Police For Help

In a very odd twist of fate, a car thief has been caught by his own scheme. Police in Norway said a car thief called them for rescue after he was stuck in a car he tried to steal and could not get out.

The teenager car thief who was a teenager called police just before 8 a.m. Monday and told officers he was trapped inside a car he had attempted to steal from a Volvo dealership.

Ebbe Kimo of the Trondelag Police reported that the 17-year-old was a serial offender and as such was familiar with the local police. He said it was, “A bit like calling a friend, really.”

The teenager was questioned and released to his family in time for Christmas.
